Financing Your Synthetic Grass Installation

Financing Your Synthetic Grass Installation

With an evergreen appearance, little maintenance, and reduced water bills, artificial grass lawns are a worthwhile investment for your home that will increase your property value and save you money long-term. However, they do have a higher initial cost than real grass. If you’re considering artificial grass for your Roseville home, you may be concerned about cost and how to finance your installation. Luckily, there are flexible financing options available for Roseville homeowners so that you can pay for your artificial grass installation over time and with less stress. Renovation financing provider Renovate America offers two different home improvement financing options for homeowners: HERO and Benji.

HERO

The Home Energy Renovation Opportunity (HERO) program is a program that offers homeowners access to financing for energy efficient, water conserving, and renewable energy home improvements such as synthetic grass installation. Approvals are primarily based on the equity in your home and your debt payment history rather than your credit score, and repayment is taken through your property tax bill rather than through traditional monthly payments. With the HERO program, there’s no money down, and the interest may even be tax deductible. The program offers competitive, fixed interest rates and flexible term lengths to lessen your stress over repayment. You also get the final say, with all HERO contractors agreeing not to be paid until you sign off that the project was completed to your satisfaction. With 100% financing up to the approved amount, the HERO program is America’s largest PACE provider and our most popular option for synthetic grass financing.

Benji

Benji is a home improvement financing option that can be used to finance nearly any home upgrade, including synthetic grass installation. You can only apply for Benji through a contractor who is part of the Renovate America network, such as Artificial Turf by Fenix. Applications are approved on the basis of your credit score, and all repayments are made through traditional monthly payments. Benji can be used to cover projects ranging from $2,000 to $50,000, and there’s no money down. Benji financing offers flexible terms lengths and competitive fixed interest rates. Like with HERO, all contractors are paid directly, and they are not paid until you sign off on the satisfactory completion of the project. If Benji sounds like the right financing option for you, contact Artificial Turf by Fenix for more information.

What’s the Difference?

There are two primary differences between the HERO and Benji programs: how you get approved and how you pay back the financing. In order to get approved for HERO, several factors are considered including your home equity, household income, debt obligations, and the items you want to finance. With Benji, eligibility is primarily based on your credit score. When it comes time to pay back the financing, HERO is secured by your home, and the financing is repaid through your property taxes. Benji, however, is paid back in traditional monthly payments.
